Charlotte created the resources for teachers
Professionally compiled resources for teachers available now
Over the summer we've had an experienced teacher working with us to create some fantastic new resources for teachers. The lessons and assemblies are tailored to topics which children of all ages study in school. There are specific packs for the different key stages, and some subjects covered in these classroom resources are aimed at increasing students’ awareness of the key issues in health, development, and education in Nepal today. Students are also introduced to some of the work of INF.
Overview of Resources
These lesson plans and resources aim to help you teach about Nepal with accurate information in a sensitive way. The lessons encourage active participation from students in pairs and groups, as well as giving time for individual reflection on learning.
These lessons could fit into various subject areas including PSHE, Geography, and English. Alternatively they could be delivered in form time. They could be used as one-off lessons or planned into a scheme of work. Each lesson includes ideas for homework tasks and extensions.
Included in the resource pack are two assemblies [one for primary and one for secondary] which have a powerpoint and a teacher script and 10 lessons for KS1-KS4, each with a powerpoint and a lesson plan. One lesson is a KS2 SATs reading paper lesson, and one is a KS4 GCSE reading paper lesson.
